Finally Settled for the Summer

The semester officially ended almost a month ago but things haven’t really settled down until this week. Between traveling back to MA for graduation, working on the application/competition to get on a journal, starting my new job, my birthday, and a couple trips to Disneyland, I feel like I’ve almost been more busy than during the semester. Last night was the first time in LONG time that Axel and I made dinner together (vodka pasta and roasted broccoli of course) and ate together at home.

We’ve been living in our new place for just about two months now and are loving it so far. Although the circumstances under which we had to move were less than ideal, it now seems like a blessing in disguise. Our new neighborhood is much more quiet and actually has street parking. The apartment itself is larger and we actually have a dining room for the first time ever. As usual, I was a FB Marketplace fiend in search of the perfect pieces for our new place. We decided to have a housewarming party the weekend after we moved in to give ourselves a deadline to get unpacked and setup and it worked out very nicely. The kitties also love all the windows in the new apartment. Hopefully we can stay in the new place for at least two years. Fun fact: I’ve moved every year for the last six years! I’m very tired of packing at this point.
